  • The visit of Secretary General of UN Antonio Gutteres to the museum

    11 June 2017

    On June 10, 2017   Secretary General of UN Antonio Gutteres  made  a visit  to the State Museum Of Art of Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I.Savitsky accompanied by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan A.Aripov. He got acquainted with the museum collection of fine and applied arts. In the end of excursion the Prime Minister presented the museum catalogue to Secretary  General.

  • The exhibition “Treasures of Nukus” has returned from Moscow

    The exhibition entitled “Treasures of Nukus” was being held at the Pushkin State Museum of Arts from April 5 till May 30 2017y.

  • The exhibition “The world through the eyes of children”

       The festival of friendship and culture under motto “Uzbekistan is our common home”  is being held in our country. In the framework of  festival on the 24th of  May, 2017 at the State Museum of Arts of Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I. Savitsky was held the exhibition entitled “The world through the eyes of children” dedicated to the International Children Day. The exhibition’s purpose is to arouse love for Motherland, enhance patriotic spirit of youth.

         Annually 18 May – International Museum Day is widely celebrated in our  republic. This holiday has begun to be observed since Uzbekistan Republic became a member International Council of Museums.

  • The exhibition “Treasures of Nukus” in Moscow has been extended till the 31st of May, 2017

          The exhibition “Treasures of  Nukus” from the collection of the State Museum of  Arts  of  Republic of  Karakalpakstan  named  after I.Savitsky  is being held at the Pushkin State  Museum of  Fine Arts  where  233 works of fine and applied arts and artefacts of archaeology are represented. We can proudly say that at Russian part’s request, the exhibition has been extended till the 31st of May 2017.
