The unique thing about our museum’s display a combination of various artworks and different museum materials. This is defined by the multifaceted (diversified) personality of museum founder Igor Vitalievich Savitsky (1915-1984) - a professional artist; participant of the Khorezm archaeological and ethnographic expedition; a man in love with folk Karakalpak art.
The second floor is currently closed to visitors.
In the exhibition on the 3rd floor of the museum you can see sections on archaeology, decorative and applied art of Karakalpakstan, and fine art of the 20th century.

Creativity of I.V. Savitsky: The paintings of different years.
Exhibition «Beauty of wooden carving of Karakalpakstan» is devoted to the monograph I.V. Savitsky «Folk applied art of karakalpaks. Wood carving», Tashkent, 1965. The exhibition presents the prints made by I.V.Savitsky during the collection of materials for the book, traditional wooden products (sabayak, sandyk) and wooden round sculpture - a new type of art, which appeared in Karakalpakstan in the second half of the 20th century (sculptors D.Tureniyazov, A. Seitimbetov, J.Tulegenov).
Decorative and applied art works of Karakalpakstan: Jewelry, representing the set of traditional Karakalpak woman’s decorations (haikel, arebek, ear-ring and others), unique wedding headgear (saukele), wedding dress (kok koylek), traditional clothing of a young Karakalpak woman (kyzyl kiymeshek).
Materials on the archaeology of Aral Sea region: Attributes of pre-Muslim funerary tradition of the region - ceramic sarcophagus III B.C., ossuary (ossuary in zoroastrianism) VI-VII B.C.
