On June 18, the first concert in the framework of the OPEN AIR. Desert Symphony project was successfully held in the city of Nukus. The general sponsor of the event is SOTHIS AEGIS, and the main partner is the mountain resort Amirsoy.
The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the State Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, the Nukus city administration, and a number of government departments.
After arrival in Nukus, on the first day, the musicians of the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, led by conductor Alibek Kabdurakhmanov, held a master class for musicians of the Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Karakalpakstan at the State Academic Musical Theater named after Berdakh.
On the central square of the Nukus city, in front of the State Museum of Art of Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I.V. Savitsky was erected a stage and installed seats. The number of viewers was over 6000 people. It was expected that the audience would see and listen to enchanting light-music show. The program of the concert included both classical works, melodies from movies and original arrangements of dance compositions. A special surprise for residents and guests of the city was the performance of the famous Karakalpak songs, which became the national epic song like “Aydinlar” and “Bozatau”.
By a lucky chance, a ten thousand foreign guest of the Republic of Karakalpakstan attended the concert. It turned out to be a tourist who came from the UK Marek Filipiak. He was presented with memorable gifts from the main partner of the project - the mountain resort "Amirsoy" and a certificate from the Hokimiyat of Nukus city.
The next destination of the musical caravan will be the fabulous Khiva. Already on June 20, another musical action will unfold on the square in front of the architectural ensemble “Ichan Kala” as part of the project “OPEN AIR. Desert Symphony ”.
